Roaming in the European Economic Area (EEA)
Roaming European Economic Area is simple and includes the entire European Union, French Caribbean, Réunion, Gibraltar, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Ukraine, and Moldova.
Andorra, Monaco, and Switzerland are not European Union countries. In these countries, the
plan roamingplan will apply according to the applicable zone.
Although the United Kingdom no longer belongs to the European Union, the same roaming conditions continue to apply.
Calls to the European Economic Area (EEA), Ukraine, Moldova, and the United Kingdom cost the same as in Portugal
Calls,text MMS messages to countries in the EEA, Ukraine, Moldova, and the United Kingdom cost the same as in Portugal, plan other national networks. The same applies to mobile Internet use.
If your plan includes voice calls and/or text other national networks, any communications you make while roaming Portugal or to destinations in the EEA, Ukraine, Moldova, and the United Kingdom will be deducted from that allowance.

If your plan a mobile internet allowance, you will be able to use it while Roaming, but you may be subject to a responsible use policy
Mobile internet traffic in EEA countries, Ukraine, Moldova, and the United Kingdom is deducted from your allowance in Portugal. However, you may be subject to an
Acceptable Use Policy AUP). If this policy applies to your plan notified by text when you reach 80% and 100% of the PUR data volume. Once the PUR has been used up, the traffic consumed will continue to be deducted from your national allowance, plus €0.0014/MB.
Communications not included
- Communications made to other countries outside the EEA (2.91€/min) - example: if you make a voice call from Spain to Switzerland you will pay according to the plan base of roaming for other countries.
- Calls and text to Value Added and Premium numbers (5.91€/min) and to numbers on the satellite network (11€/min).
- Communications on boat and aircraft networks. The plan base of roaming zone 4 will be applied to these networks. More information can be found

- Calls made to support lines to customer and special national numbers (non-geographic services) are billed at the price of voice communications outside the national usage allowance of your plan.
Checking voice mail
Checking voice mail in roaming is not free as it is in Portugal, as it corresponds to a call made to Portugal. In the EEA and UK, the price of a call to other national networks will apply.
Other roaming plans
If you have subscribed to another roaming plan, the respective conditions apply.
Roaming Prevalence MEO may control roaming consumption roaming , over a minimum period of four (4) months, whether the traffic consumed while roaming European Union, Norway, Liechtenstein, Iceland, Ukraine, Moldova, and the United Kingdom prevails over traffic consumed in Portugal and other countries (>50%) and whether presence in the European Union, Norway, Liechtenstein, Iceland, Ukraine, Moldova, and the United Kingdom prevails over presence in Portugal and other countries (>50%). If the customer change the consumption pattern described above after a minimum period of two (2) weeks, MEO reserves the right to charge a surcharge for roaming traffic roaming European Union, Norway, Liechtenstein, Iceland, Ukraine, Moldova, and the United Kingdom in accordance with the rules of the Responsible Use Policy applied in these countries.
