Five Star Awards 2022

For the 5th consecutive year, MEO was awarded the Five Stars in the Home Broadband and Unlocked Smartphones categories and, for the 1st time, the Electricity award with MEO Energia.

Consumer Choice 2022

Portuguese consumers chose MEO for the sixth consecutive year in the Quadruple Play category, with M4e, and for the second consecutive year as the Best TV Experience. MEO was also voted "Good Choice Brand" in Energy and Services for Domestic Use, with MEO Energia.

Marca Recomendada

MEO received the title of "Recommended Brand" of the year 2022 by Portuguese consumers and "Brand of the Month". Recognitions awarded to brands with the best Satisfaction Index performance. Titles awarded by Portal da Queixa and Consumers Trust.

Best Store in Portugal 2021-2022

Consumers chose MEO Stores as "The Best Store in Portugal" in the "Telecommunications" category. Criteria were analysed such as: selection, usefulness and provision of services, knowledge and provision of information, ease of purchase, price, appearance and the extent to which they would recommend the store to their family and friends.

Trusted Brand 2022

MEO is a Trusted Brand 2022. This award is based on the results of the annual study by Reader's Digest magazine, which selects the brands that Portuguese people trust the most, based on direct consumer voting. The nomination is made spontaneously by respondents, with no reference or suggestion to any brand.

MEO leader 2022

According to the ANACOM report for Q3 2022, MEO leads all communications services in Portugal: Mobile Services (44.4%), Fixed Telephone Service (45.0%), Fixed Broadband (40.8%) and Pay TV (41.0% share) with more than 170,000 customers versus the 2nd operator. MEO strengthened its leadership in the bundles market and in all types of bundles (2P, 3P, 4P/5P), with a 41.1% share of subscribers. 

Best Reputation in Industry 22

A distinction awarded every 3 years to brands and personalities that stand out in a consistent and sustainable way. It is the only study in Portugal whose methodology is certified and complies with the brand management standards ISO10668 (brand financial evaluation) and ISO20671 (brand strategy and strength evaluation).

Telecommunications and Top Ranking 2022

MEO was once again honored in the "Best & Biggest of Technological Portugal 2022" initiative, promoted by Exame Informática, and won the awards in the "Top Ranking" and "Telecommunications" categories according to an analysis based on its turnover.

Better quality of service

MEO is the operator with the lowest number of complaints customer - ANACOM results on the volume of complaints about communications services. Report by ANACOM - complaints about electronic communications in the 2nd and 3rd quarters of 2021.

Marca Recomendada

MEO received the title of "Marca Recomendada" 2021 for consistently maintaining a high level of Customer Service performance throughout the 12 months of 2020. The distinction is made by Portuguese customers and the "Marca Recomendada" award. This year MEO has been recognised eight times as Marca do Mês on Portal da Queixa, a symbol of the excellence of its customer service customer.

Efficiency Award

MEO won 2 Efficacy Awards - Silver with the campaign MEO Energia, The Efficacy Awards are the only awards in Portugal that focus on the results achieved thanks to the communication action, whether in terms of notoriety, sales, or any other type of profitability that responds to a previously defined objective, and place efficacy as the true end of advertising activity.

Telecommunications and Top Score

MEO is once again the largest technology and telecommunications company operating in Portugal in Exame Informática's "The Biggest in Technological Portugal" awards. The award is based on an analysis of turnover.

For the third consecutive year, MEO wins awards in the Television, Internet, and Unlocked Smartphones categories. For the fourth consecutive year, MEO Sudoeste is the best music festival.

Consumer Choice 2020

For the fourth consecutive year, M4e is the best quadruple play service (overall satisfaction of 79.84%, up 9.97% compared to 2019). MEO also has the best mobile telecommunications offering for the second consecutive year (overall satisfaction of 78.26%, up 4.55% compared to 2019) and the Best App Away from Home - MEO Go Multi.

Choice of Excellentia 2020

MEO ranked first in the Telecommunications category, with a score of 76% in the National Performance and Customer Centric Management Index. It is the only award in Portugal that recognizes companies that stand out for their performance in Customer Centric, a barometer of customer management.

TV App of the Year 2019 - MEO Remote

The MEO Remote app, which allows users to control their TV via a smartphone, received the top prize at the 2019 VideoTech Innovation Awards in the "TV App of the Year" category.

The best TV experience

Best TV experience, March 2015

Exame Informática magazine compared the TV services of the three operators with the largest national coverage in March 2015 and concluded that MEO offers the best TV experience at the moment. 

Product of the Year 2015

Consumers chose M5eO (bundles Quintuple-Play), MEO Go (Multiplatform TV Videoclub category) and MEO Mobile Internet (Mobile Internet with Shareable Allowance) as the most innovative products of 2015. 

Trusted Brand 2015

The MEO brand won the "Internet Service Company" category for the second consecutive year in the "Trusted Brands in Europe" study conducted by Reader's Digest Selections. This study has been conducted for 15 years and aims to identify the brands that consumers trust the most.
