What are some best practices for personal safety?
Always keep your access codes confidential; do not disclose them to third parties;
Avoid using automatic login. For security reasons, it is best to enter your login credentials each time you log in;
Avoid using a public computer or one shared with strangers when you need to enter personal information;
When you are finished with your Internet session (“logout”), click the “Log Out” button;
To verify that a website is an official MEO Group site, check to see if the letters of the MEO address appear in the address bar;
Other preventive measures:
If you need to perform transactions on a computer shared by multiple users, or on a computer that you do not fully trust, we recommend that you enable “Additional Security – Controlled Access” in advance, so that transactions require validation using activation codes sent to text;
If you use digital certificates, make sure that your computer is not used by third parties or people you do not fully trust;
Check the transactions in your accounts regularly;
Whenever you start a new Internet session (“login”), make a note of or save the start date and time of that session. In your next session, check whether the date and time of your last login match the information you have;
Memorize your login information and never write it down on paper. If you suspect that someone has discovered your password, change it immediately;
Choose passcodes that are easy to remember but hard to guess. Avoid using the same passcodes for different situations;

Under no circumstances should you disclose any confidential information by telephone, email, or any other means of remote communication.

Whenever you're making transactions on a secure website, the letters “https” should appear before the address. Be wary of websites that don't have an “s” after “http”;

When the computer is not in use, close the browser or shut it down;
Avoid using public computers to carry out any type of operation/transaction. They may have outdated antivirus programmes and thus allow your confidential information or personal data to be captured;
