Once you've joined, you can log in to the management portal via your customer area to manage your settings.

How to activate MEO Net Segura

MEO Net Segura can be activated in MEO stores, by calling 16200 or through the customer my MEO area.

On my MEO:

• If it's mobile network protection, select the number mobile phone where you want to activate the service 
• If it's fixed network protection, you'll need to select the fixed internet service (asxxxx) and then choose the MEO service Net Segura Casa.

Then just follow the steps.

When the service becomes active, a confirmation email is sent by text message.

Activation is independent of the operating system and the device you are browsing with.

Protection is provided via the meo mobile network or your home wifi network (depending on the service you have subscribed to), and no installation is required at mobile phone.

How the MEO Net Segura service works

Whenever your device is connected to the MEO mobile network or your home Wi-Fi network, it is protected (depending on the service you have activated).

For example, if you're browsing through mobile phone, when you try to access a dangerous page, the service will block access to protect you. 

Instead of accessing this page, you will see a threat detection warning page, or a browser page interrupting the session.

If you have the secure mobile net service active, you can also see a report on your device summarizing the threats that have occurred with the service. 

To check personalized statistics you can access the Management Portal.

To enter the Management Portal, you need a MEO ID, the same access that is used for all MEO services. If you don't have one, simply create one.

MEO protection Net Segura mobile protects you when you surf on the MEO mobile network.

MEO protection Net Segura Home protects you when you surf on your home wifi network

It does not cover browsing Roaming or public WiFi.

What can I do on the MEO Management Portal Net Segura?

To enter the MEO Net Segura Management Portal, e log in by entering your MEO ID.

If you don't have a MEO ID account yet, just create one.

You can also enter the portal via the my MEO app or the my MEO customer area or on the MEO website.

The functionalities available on the Management Portal are

• Add numbers: Allows you to add other MEO numbers that will be under your management and assign the adult or child profile.
  

• Threat protection: Possibility of activating or deactivating threat protection. We recommend that you keep this protection active at all times.

• Parental/content control: Possibility of blocking websites belonging to a certain predefined content category (e.g. adults, violence, shopping, etc.).

• Manage list of allowed sites: possibility to add/remove sites that you consider safe even though they are included in one of the blocked categories and you don't want them to be blocked by the service. Example: You have blocked the "Games" category for your child, however, there is a games site that you consider safe, so you can add it to this list so that your child can access this specific site.

• Security notification and parental/content control: receive alerts by email whenever one of the numbers entered in the portal is protected from a site with malware or tries to access a page belonging to a blocked category.

• Reports: view the service's activity indicators for various time periods, both for protection against threats and for blocks made in terms of parental/content control.
  

• Internet usage time limits: You can pause internet usage for an hour (for example) or set a schedule (time/days of the week).
  

How do I add numbers or users to the MEO Management Portal Net Segura?

The number you wish to add must consent to the processing of your personal data for the purpose of managing your mobile phone number, and agree to the respective Terms and Conditions. 

When you enter the desired number, an text with a validation code will be sent to that respective number. The portal manager will need to enter this code to proceed with its configuration.

If the added number does not already have the security service active, it will become active after being added to the portal and will receive a text confirmation of activation of MEO Net Segura. The added number will also be subject to the associated monthly subscription fee. 

When you delete a number on the portal, you are deactivating the service on the number. You will receive a text confirming the deactivation of the service.
