  • The channel grid on my TV without MEOBox has changed

For reasons beyond MEO's control, changes are being made to DTT frequencies in order to free up the respective bands for 5G. For more information, see the help article.

MEO periodically carries out interventions and technological upgrades to its infrastructures, with the aim of improving the quality of service provided to customers (at no additional cost).

Regarding the transmission of channels on TVs without a MEOBox, updates have been made with the aim of:

    • Increasing the channel grid
    • Introduce better image quality, with support for HD and UHD (4K) channels
    • Ensure a more robust service, with less channel interference
    • Possibility of entering information about the content viewed, similar to MEOBox (only available on some channels)

When these updates are made, several scenarios can be observed:
    • Appearance of new channels (SD, HD or UHD)
    • Channel replacement (SD channels will now be broadcast in HD)
    • Disappearance of channels / "Black" or "rainy" channels
    • Changing the position of existing channels
  • I can't view a specific channel

Check if the channel is Premium or if it is part of the MEO bundle channel you have subscribed to. To consult the list of subscribed channels:
    1. On your MEO remote, go to Menu > customer > TV Channels and Services > Personal, or press the yellow button on your MEO remote directly
    2. Under " Fixed Channels," you'll find the channels included in the MEO " bundle " package you subscribed to
    3. In "My Subscriptions," you'll find the Premium channels you've subscribed to.
If you notice that the channel you have just subscribed to is taking a while to become available, restart box (by unplugging and plugging in box ).
If you have a MEOBox Android TV and are still unable to watch the channel you subscribed to after restarting the box , go back to the page for the premium channel you subscribed to and select the “Watch Channel” option.

Subscribing to a channel or service has a period of permanence, which you can find under "Learn More" or "Info and Conditions". After this period, the subscription is automatically renewed for successive periods of 30 days.

See the channels available in each MEO bundles .

Also check if the channel you can't view is in another position on the channel grid for this:

    1. Go to Menu > Settings > press the OK button > Select TV > Sort Channels
    2. Select the option Default Order.

If the channel is active and available in the lineup but you still can't watch it, please contact Customer Support at customer(see the plan), or customer Support atMEO Empresas (see plan).

  • Channels or content information on my TV have disappeared

MEO periodically carries out interventions and technological upgrades to its infrastructures, with the aim of improving the quality of service provided to customers (at no additional cost).

Whenever there are these interventions, customers may experience some problems viewing the channels.

To solve the problem, you need to re-synchronize the channels. Follow these steps:

    1. Check that the antenna cable (coaxial) is correctly connected to the TV
    2. Using the TV remote control, navigate through the TV menu until you find an Automatic tuning
    3. If asked, choose tuning Digital and Analog
    4. Once tuning is complete, Save the configuration

If you can't find these options, check your TV manual.

If you continue to experience problems viewing the channels, contact the MEO Helpline (view tariff), or MEO Empresas Helpline (view tariff)

NOTE: Forreasons beyond MEO's control, the DTT frequencies have been changed in order to free up the respective bands for 5G. For more information, see the help article.
