Configure mobile phone

  • Activate and configure the WiFi network

    Follow these steps to turn on and set up the Wi-Fi network on your smartphone.


    Apple: 



    • Select Settings
    • Select WiFi
    • Tap the WiFi button to activate the function
    • Make sure that the WiFi symbol is on (green colour) and all available wireless networks are listed
    • Select the network you want to connect to
    • Enter thepassword to access the network.


    Samsung: 




    • Select Settings
    • Select Connections
    • Tap the WiFi button to activate the function
    • Make sure the WiFi symbol is on (blue color)
    • Tap WiFi
    • All available wireless networks are listed
    • Select the network you want to connect to
    • Enter the Password to access the network.


    Huawei: 




    • Select Settings
    • Select Wireless and other
    • Tap the WiFi button to activate the function
    • Make sure the WiFi symbol is on (blue color)
    • All available wireless networks are listed
    • Enter the Password to access the network you want to connect to
    • Select the button to return to the home screen.



  • Configure mobile network with automatic search

    Set the network selection to automatic as follows:
    • Devices with iOS operating system: Settings > Mobile Network > Network Selection = Automatic
    • Devices with operating system Android: Settings > Connections > Mobile Network > Network mode = Auto connect



  • Update your smartphone software

    Follow these steps to update the software version of your smartphone.

    Apple: 




    • Select Settings
    • To access the General button, slide your finger up from the bottom of your smartphone's screen
    • Select General
    • Select Software update. An Internet connection is required to update iOS, use a Wi-Fi network if possible
    • Select Download and install
    • Once the software is installed, the mobile phone automatically restarts with the new version.

    Samsung: 



    • SelectSettings
    • Select " Software Update"
    • Select " Download and Install" todownload the new version of the operating system (preferably using a Wi-Fi network, so as not to use up your mobile data)
    • Once the software is installed, the mobile phone automatically restarts with the new version.


    Huawei: 



    • Select Settings
    • To access System slide your finger up from the bottom of your smartphone's screen
    • Select System
    • Select Software update
    • If there is a new version available, it will be indicated on the screen. Follow the instructions to update the mobile phone software.



  • Activate the screen lock code

    Follow these steps to lock your smartphone's screen. 

    Apple: 



    • Select Settings
    • To access the Touch ID and Passcodebutton, swipe your finger up from the bottom of your smartphone's screen
    • Select Touch ID and code
    • Choose Activate code
    • Setting the screen lock code
    • Re-enter the screen lock code for confirmation
    • The screen lock code has been activated. Press the mobile phone button to return to the home screen.


    Samsung: 



    • Select Settings
    • Select Lock Screen
    • Select Screen lock type
    • Select the type of screen lock you want to activate (Swipe, Pattern, PIN, Password, None, Face or Fingerprint).


    Huawei:



    • Select Settings
    • Go to Security and privacy
    • Select Screen unlock method
    • Select Set screen unlock method
    • Select the screen lock method you want to activate (pattern, PIN code, password or none).



  • Setting up the internet connection (APN)

    Follow these steps to activate mobile internet on your smartphone.

    If you bought your smartphone in a store or from an authorized dealer, the settings for using the mobile internet are already pre-set on your device, so you won't need to do any configuration.


    Apple: 




    • Select Settings
    • In Settings, selectMobile Data
    • If the Mobile Dataoption is turned off, turn on Mobile Data(make sure the button is green)
    • Under Mobile data select Mobile data network
    • In APN, enter " internet";leave the " Username" and"Password " fields blank
    • Press the mobile phone button to return to the home screen
    • To complete the configuration process, activate the settings and browse the mobile internet, you need to restart your smartphone (turn it off and on again).


    Samsung: 




    • Select Settings
    • Select Connections
    • Select Data Usage
    • If the " Mobile Data " option is turned off, turn on Mobile Data(make sure the button is blue)

    • Select Access Points (APN)
    • Under Access points select Add
    • Select Name
    • Enter the Internet name and select OK
    • Select APN
    • Enter the Internet APN and select OK

    • Enter in MCC 268 andselect OK
    • Select MNC
    • Enter MNC 06 and select OK
    • Select APN Type
    • Enter the default APN type (in lower case) and select OK.
    • Select the three dots symbol in the top right corner of the screen
    • ChooseSave
    • Select the internet option you have just set up
    • To complete the configuration process, activate the settings and browse the mobile internet, you need to restart your smartphone (turn it off and on again).


    Huawei:




    • SelectSettings
    • Select Wireless and other networks
    • SelectMobile Network
    • If the "Mobile Data" option is turned off, turn onMobile Data(make sure the button is blue).
    • Select Access Point Names (APN)
    • Select the three dots symbol in the top right corner of the screen
    • SelectNew APN
    • Select Name
    • Enter theInternetname and selectOK
    • SelectAPN
    • Enter theInternet APN and selectOK
    • SelectMCC
    • Enter in MCC268 andselectOK
    • SelectMNC
    • Enter in MNC06 and selectOK
    • SelectAPN Type
    • Enter in Internet APN Type and select OK
    • Select the "correct" icontosave the settings
    • Select the APN you have created to activate it.


  • How to set up the text message center

    Follow these steps to set up the text message center on your smartphone.

    Apple: 



    Once you insert the SIM card SIM your smartphone, it will automatically be set up for text.


    Samsung: 



    • Select Messages
    • Select the three dots symbol in the top right corner of the screen
    • SelectSettings
    • Select More settings
    • Choose Settings text
    • Select Message center
    • Enter the number +351962100000 in the Message Center
    • Choose Set


    Huawei:




    • Select Messages
    • Select the three dots symbol in the top right corner of the screen
    • SelectSettings
    • Select Advanced
    • Choose Message Center
    • Enter the number +351962100000 in the Message Center
    • Select OK
