  • How to increase WiFi coverage at home

    If your home Wi-Fi connection is intermittent or slow in certain areas, run a Wi-Fi signal test to check the signal quality and strength.

    Follow these steps, which apply toAndroid smartphones or tablets . Before you begin, make sure you're connected to your Wi-Fi network.

    The MEO Home app incorporates the features of the MEO Smart WiFi app, which will be discontinued shortly.Learn how to set it up with MEO Home. 

    1. Open the MEO Smart WiFi app. Learn how to set up MEO Smart WiFi.




    2. Go to the area where you want to check the signal strength and select the option.Check the Wi-Fi signal; you do not need to log in to the app.

    If you have MEO SMART WiFi active, you can also select this option from the Home tab after logging into the application.

    The app will evaluate the WiFi signal where you are and on the device you are using. The result will be different depending on your position and distance from the router:


    If the signal appears:
    • Green, the signal quality is good.
    • Red or Yellow, signal quality is poor or could be improved


    See the recommendations for improving signal quality:
    • Move the router slightly to a central, livre area, allowing for greater WiFi signal distribution.
    • Check that there are no other interferences or obstacles that alter the quality of the WiFi and reduce the signal.
    • Add a MEO Smart WiFi Extender to extend the signal of your WiFi network and guarantee quality of service for real-time applications (video, voice, online games, virtual reality, etc).

  • What is the MEO WiFi MAX service?

    MEO WiFi MAX is a service that lets you improve Wi-Fi coverage and quality in your home using MEO extenders that work seamlessly with the FiberGateway or Fiber X.

    The service includes a technical assessment of your home’s Wi-Fi coverage, conducted by a MEO specialist. During this assessment, the home’s needs are identified, and the most appropriate configuration is recommended to provide an optimized Wi-Fi experience in every room.

  • What are the benefits and features of MEO WiFi MAX?

    MEO WiFi MAX helps improve Wi-Fi coverage in areas of the home where the signal is weakest, such as attics, upper floors, garages, outbuildings, balconies, gardens, or other rooms farther away from the router.

    After assessing the Wi-Fi coverage in your home, a MEO specialist will recommend the number of MEO range extenders best suited to your needs and will install and configure them for you.
