  • What is a Smart TV?

    Smart TVs are intelligent televisions which, in addition to the normal channels, allow you to surf the net and access not only social networks, but also a wide variety of streaming platforms (such as YouTube, Netflix, HBO, Spotify...) in the highest quality and various games and applications.

    Many of them allow you to control and search for content using voice commands, improving connectivity with other smart devices. This ensures greater connectivity and interactivity in your daily life.

  • How do you use a Smart TV?

    Smart TVs have all their functionalities displayed in the main menu, so in order to benefit from a full interactive experience, all you have to do is access that same menu and select the option you want.

    However, to get the most out of a Smart TV, it's best to connect it to the Internet.

  • How do I connect a Smart Tv to the internet?

    All Smart TVs support wireless connectivity via Wi-Fi, but you can also connect them using an Ethernet cable.

    To use Wi-Fi, simply configure this option in the TV's network settings and if you prefer a wired connection, look for an entry on the back of the equipment to which the router will be connected.

    The cable connection is particularly useful when you want greater network stability, such as when transmitting streaming content with high image quality, particularly gaming content.

    Like a Smartphone, Smart TVs allow you to install various apps that are ready to download from their respective app store. It's therefore important to know which store it is so that you can check the availability of the apps you want beforehand.


  • How to turn a TV into a Smart TV?

    Some Smart TVs in the MEO online store already have the application installed on the TV. This means that the MEO experience, which was already available on the various boxes, can now also be experienced on a TV without box.

  • Watch MEO on your smart TV

    The MEO App is available for all TV bundles with Fibre, regardless of whether the TV model was purchased directly from MEO or from another store. If you don't have a compatible TV, you can check the list of available models in the MEO Online Shop.


    To watch MEO on Samsung Smart TV
    With your Samsung account, install the free MEO App available in the Tizen store for Samsung TVs (models older than 2022) and access it via your home Wi-Fi.

    How to install the MEO App on your Samsung TV:
    1. On your TV remote control, select the Smart Hub/Home button.
    2. In the Smart Hub Home menu, go to the Samsung Account option and log in to your account. If you don't already have an account, you can create one by scanning the QR Code displayed on your TV with your mobile phone.
    3. After logging in, go back to the Smart Hub Home menu and select the Apps option.
    4. In the Apps section, use the magnifying glass icon  look for the application MEO, which will be available in the Video category . If you can't find it, use the search bar to locate it.
    5. Select Install. If the "Install" option is not available, click on the corresponding button on the right side of the application.  and press OK

    To watch MEO on LG Smart TV
    With your LG account, install the free MEO App available on the webOS of LG TVs (available for TV models older than 2022) and access it via your home Wi-Fi.

    How to install the MEO App on your LG TV:
    1. Go to the TV's home screen and click on the button in the top left-hand corner. You can select an existing account or "Add Account".
    2. Log in (directly on the TV, via the LG app, or via the browser).
    3. After logging in, on the TV's home screen, in the menu on the left-hand side, search in the magnifying glass for MEO or under "Access Apps" or in the apps rail under "Apps".
    4. The TV opens "Apps" and you can search in the magnifying glass for MEO or find the app in the Entertainment category.
    5. Once you have selected the app, click on "Install".


    After installation, the MEO App will appear at the bottom of the list of applications. To move it to a more accessible position, press and hold the central button on the remote control (Long Press) and select the Move option. You can use the MEO App as the only MEO TV Service app and install it on up to 4 different devices.
