Voice Services

  • OneNumber

The  OneNumber is a service that allows you to share the data and minutes of your plan mobile phone with your smartwatch. You can make and receive calls and use your mobile data without having your smartphone with you. The minutes and data will be consumed from your monthly limit.

To activate OneNumber, you must have a mobile voice plan Pay monthly SIM with VoLTE technology active, and a MEO ID profile, the same one you use on my MEO. Activate VoLTE by sending a free text with the word"Volte" to 16200 (only MEO customers and MOCHE), 16205 (customers UZO) or 16206 (If you are a MEO Empresas customer).
    To activate, follow these steps:
    • Download the watch app for your mobile phone
    • Check that your mobile data is connected. If not, turn them on
    • Open the watch app and pair your smartwatch with your mobile phone
    • Follow the app's instructions

You can only activate the service on one smartwatch. View the Terms of Use.

You can cancel the OneNumber service at any time via the watch app on your smartphone. The smartwatch will no longer be connected when you cancel. You will receive a text indicating that you no longer have the OneNumber service active. You can activate the service again at any time.

    NOTES:
    - The service is not compatible with the Net Sharing service.
    - The sending and receiving of text is not yet supported.
    - It is not possible to use the smartwatch at Roaming.

  • What Are WiFi Calls (WiFi Calling)?

WiFi Calling is a service that allows you to make or receive calls from your smartphone over WiFi. This means that if you are in a place where the mobile network is weak or non-existent, but you have access to a WiFi network, you can make better quality voice calls over WiFi.

In order to use the service you must:

    • Having a compatible smartphone
    • Have the latest version of the software installed on your smartphone
    • Have VoLTE (Voice over 4G/5G networks) enabled. To enable it, send a fre text text message with the word "Volte"to 16200( customers MEO, and MOCHE only),16205 (customers UZO), or 16206 ( customer MEO Empresas )
    • Make sure Wi-Fi Calling is enabled on your smartphone. See below for instructions on how to enable it
    • WiFi coverage

Calls made over Wi-Fi are billed according to your mobile plan plan, just like any other call made on the mobile network, whether they are made domestically or abroad. If you have minutes included in your plan plan, they will be deducted from that allowance (as if you were making a call on the domestic mobile network). If you do not have any minutes available in your plan plan, the rate for calls outside the allowance will apply.

After activating the service on your smartphone, when you are connected to a WiFi network and have poor mobile network coverage, voice calls will automatically switch to the WiFi network.

Operation and recommendations for use WiFi calls
    1. When you are making a WiFi call and go to an area without WiFi coverage, the call will automatically switch to the 4G/5G mobile network. However, if the mobile network is 2G/3G, calls over WiFi are automatically terminated and you have to make a new call. The same happens if you switch from the mobile network to the WiFi network.
    2. On Android devices, we recommend that you keep the "Preferred Mobile Network" option, which guarantees the best quality for each call by automatically selecting the most suitable network at the time (4G/5G mobile or WiFi).

Activate the WiFi Calling feature on mobile phones Android:
The steps for activating WiFi Calling may differ depending on the brand of your smartphone. These steps refer to a mobile phone Samsung.

Activate the WiFi Calling feature on iOS mobile phones :

You can also enable this feature by going toSettings > Cellular > Wi-Fi Calling > ENABLE on this iPhone.
