  • What Is the SAP B1 HANA - Dev Edition Solution and What Are Its Benefits?

    The SAP B1 HANA - Dev Edition solution is particularly well-suited for SAP Partners who want to learn about and explore the new features of SAP Business One on HANA, or improve their business management processes using SAP Business One and take advantage of SAP’s new in-memory computing technology. This platform can also be used by Partners who want to test the solution before deploying it in a production environment.


    Access anytime, anywhere

    SAP B1 HANA - Dev Edition is a platform hosted on Cloud Solutions, which means accessing SAP B1 HANA - Dev Edition is as simple as logging into an email account. All you need is a computer with an Internet connection and your login credentials (username and password) to access the platform.

    This platform requires no investment in hardware or infrastructure; all you need is a PC with an Internet connection and the software versions customer installed on the PC to use it anywhere. If you plan to use the platform to develop new features, you must install and activate the SDK development tools.

    If something happens to your computer, you can simply log in from another computer. Your information remains stored and secure in Altice's data centers, not on your PC.


    In addition to including all the features of SAP Business One (Enterprise Resource Planning) and a development platform for in-memory computing technology, the platform offers numerous advantages:
    • You can sign up and try out the technology and processes without investing in equipment or infrastructure
    • A " bundle " is available, which includes basic services and access to new versions and upgrades at no additional cost
    • The platform and infrastructure ensure high availability and security at no additional cost
    • You can export the developments, improvements, and configurations you've made and import them later into another platform of the same type.

    Payment Methods and Licensing
    The monthly fee is billed, and payment is made by credit card. The amount is fixed and billed only at the beginning of each month, allowing for unlimited use.
    The SAP B1 HANA - Dev Edition solution is configured for a service period of 30 days or multiples of 30 days, starting from the date the instance is created. As the end of the period approaches, we will notify you, and you can renew your subscription to continue enjoying the benefits of the platform.


    Please note that, although the SAP B1 on HANA Cloud platform is pre-installed and pre-configured, to activate the platform, the partner must use its own development license (Business One application and SAP HANA database) or request one through the SAP channel. This model is typically known as the BYOL (Bring Your Own License) model.

    The SAP Business One Cloud – Multi-Tenant solution is particularly well-suited for SAP Partners who wish to provide SAP Business One Cloud solutions to customers for production use—as a turnkey solution that includes management services. This solution enables customers to learn the processes, explore the new features of SAP Business One Cloud, improve standard SAP Business One management processes, and take advantage of SAP’s new in-memory computing technology (HANA). If you have any questions, we can provide a trial to Partners who wish to test the solution before implementing it in a production environment.

    The SAP Business One Cloud – Multi-Tenant offering is a productive solution that, depending on the usage profile, eliminates the need for investments in hardware and infrastructure, requiring only a PC and a browser (Internet Explorer) with an Internet connection to operate anywhere.

    SAP Business One Cloud – Multi-Tenant is an instance of SAP Business One hosted in our cloud, which means accessing SAP Business One Cloud – Multi-Tenant is as simple as logging into an email account.
    If something happens to your computer or workstation, you can simply log in from another computer. The information stored in your SAP Business One Cloud ERP remains safe and secure in Altice’s data centers, not on your PC.


    Advantages
    In addition to including all the features of SAP Business One ERP and a managed production platform, it offers numerous advantages:
    • You can sign up and try out SAP Business One Cloud technology and processes without investing in equipment or infrastructure
    • In the Public version, there is a fixed price based on the number of users and the size of the database
    • In the Dedicated version, partners can build their own sales models. Because it is a shared platform, it facilitates access to SAP Business One technology—based on either an SAP HANA or Microsoft SQL database—for small customers s that previously could not afford to purchase and support their own SAP Business One platform. SAP partners can create and manage tenants, create and manage tenant users on the SAP Business One Cloud 1.1 platform, and control and manage the add-ons they wish to make available to their customers.
    • The multi-tenant version includes a service- bundle t for platform management and monitoring, with access to new versions and upgrades at no additional cost
    • The platform and infrastructure ensure high availability and security at no additional cost
    • For " customers " who have questions about the solution, there is the option to access a trial of SAP Business One Cloud.
    • You can use the SAP Business One tools to export the customizations, enhancements, and configurations you have made and later import them into another platform of the same type.


    Payment Methods and Licensing
    The monthly fee is billed, and payment is made via bank transfer. The amount is fixed and billed at the beginning of each month, allowing for unlimited use.
    The SAP Business One Cloud – Multi-Tenant solution will be set up for a minimum service term of 12 months. As the end of the term approaches, the Partner will be notified and may renew their subscription for additional 12-month periods to continue enjoying the benefits of using the SAP Business One Cloud solution.


    Please note that, although the SAP Business One Cloud instance is pre-installed and pre-configured, to activate the platform, the Partner must use its own license (for the SAP Business One application and the SAP HANA database) or use the license from customer. This model is typically known as the BYOL (Bring Your Own License) model. If the Partner opts for a solution based on a Microsoft SQL database, MEO Empresas can provide the database license. If the Partner does not have any of the indicated licenses, they can request one through the SAP channel.

    The SAP HANA One – Dev Edition solution is suitable for developers who want to build applications on SAP HANA and test the technology before moving to a production environment.

    SAP HANA One – Dev Edition is a PaaS-based development platform that eliminates the need for investments in hardware and infrastructure; it requires only a PC with an Internet connection and the following software versions installed on the PC— customer —to run anywhere.
    Since it’s hosted in the cloud, accessing SAP HANA One – Dev Edition is as simple as logging into an email account. All you need is a computer with an Internet connection and your login credentials (username and password) to access the development platform. If something happens to your computer, you can simply log in from another computer. Your information remains stored and secure on our servers, not on your PC.
