Solar panels: a better world starts at home
Doing more for the planet and ecology is within everyone's reach. A self-installable photovoltaic solar panel kit is a smart choice for both the environment and your wallet, reducing your electricity bill and spending less money each month on lighting and heating your home and water. With a solar panel kit you can be the person who produces their own energy with zero emissions for the planet, and you're doing your bit to preserve our planet. Take the opportunity to simulate energy savings to see how much you'll save on your electricity bill. Taking good care of the planet starts with small gestures and everyone can make a difference for a better future. By using a photovoltaic solar panel kit installed on the roof or elsewhere, electricity is produced exclusively from renewable sources and we are helping to reduce our ecological footprint.
What is solar energy?
It comes from the light and heat of the sun and is harnessed and used through different technologies, such as solar heating, photovoltaic solar energy and heliothermal energy. It is considered a renewable and sustainable source.
What is solar energy used for?
It's a clean and nature-friendly way of generating electricity, and because it's a renewable source based on the sun, it can be put to great use, with heat and sunlight being some of the most exploitable and promising energies in the world. And so you're saving energy that would be generated in other, less environmentally friendly alternative ways, while at the same time saving money on the price of the electricity you consume. Take the opportunity to use the simulator and see how you can reduce your electricity consumption.
How do solar panels work?
The sun shines on the panel, which captures the solar radiation, then the converter transforms it into electrical energy that will be injected through a normal socket so that it can be consumed in your home. You can install the photovoltaic solar panel on the roof or elsewhere.
How to sell surplus energy to the grid
When production exceeds consumption needs, it can be sold to the grid under the terms of article 4 of Decree-Law no. 162/2019, of October 25, by signing a contract with an energy trader or any of the other entities indicated in that law.
