Free sunscreen at the Zoo

This summer, MEO, the MEO Foundation and Garnier Ambre Solaire are raising awareness of responsible sun exposure at the Lisbon Zoo, providing free sunscreen during the hottest months.

The dispensers will be located at two strategic points: one in the entrance area, next to the lockers, and the other in the MEO Savannah. This initiative aims to take care of the health of all visitors, while promoting the reduction of cream and plastic waste, transforming an individual consumer good into a service accessible to all, with respect for safety standards, hygiene and the environment.

Before going out in the sun, apply sunscreen

Apply sunscreen before sun exposure and reapply every two hours or after showering.

Protection isn't just done with sunscreen

Whenever you are exposed to the sun, you should wear a hat, sunglasses, and clothing.

Protects the little ones in the shade

Regardless of the time of day, babies and young children should not be exposed to direct sunlight. 

Avoid dangerous hours and excessive sun exposure

Avoid sun exposure between 11 am and 4 pm. Excessive sun exposure can be harmful to your health, such as the appearance of skin cancer.
