Notes

How It Works and Recommendations for Use: Wi-Fi Calls

When you're making a Wi-Fi call and move into an area without Wi-Fi coverage, the call automatically switches to the 4G/5G cellular network. However, if the cellular network is 2G/3G, Wi-Fi calls are automatically terminated, and you'll need to make a new call. The same thing happens if you switch from the cellular network to the Wi-Fi network.

On Android devices, we recommend that you keep the “Preferred Mobile Network” option enabled, which ensures the best call quality by automatically selecting the most appropriate network at any given time (4G/5G mobile or Wi-Fi).
