Savana MEOMEO has joined forces with the Zoo to create a space for some of the savanna species that inhabit the Zoo, paying particular tribute to the African savanna elephant and reinforcing the importance of habitat preservation in species conservation. In the MEO Savanna, it is also possible to observe giraffes, hippos, and nialas.
Free sunscreen for everyoneMEO, the MEO Foundation, and Garnier Ambre Solaire are raising awareness about responsible sun exposure at the Lisbon Zoo by providing free sunscreen during the hottest months of the year.The dispensers will be located in the entrance area, next to the lockers, and at Savana MEO. This initiative aims to protect the health of all visitors while reducing waste from lotion and plastic, transforming a single-use product into a service accessible to everyone, in compliance with safety and hygiene standards and with respect for the environment.
