In the academic context, he is a guest lecturer at universities and business schools in Portugal and abroad.
He is the founder and Past-president of the ISACA Lisbon Chapter, a collabourator in several professional associations and a speaker at various local and international conferences and seminars. In 2019 he received the ISACA Global Achievement John Kuyers Award for Best Speaker.
He has a degree in Computer Science and Business Management from ISCTE and a postgraduate degree in Project Management.

Cândido Carvalho

Cândido Carvalho has been with Decathlon for 10 years, starting as a Store Administrative and Financial Manager. He later served as the Company’s Administrative and Financial Manager, Country Management Controller, and worked in International Internal Audit. In 2019, he enthusiastically took on the Country HR project, with the goal of transforming Decathlon’s Human Resources management, from the Payroll Team to Business Partners.

He has previously served as Deputy Secretary of State for Administrative Modernization and Deputy Secretary-General for Internal Administration, among other roles. He has published numerous works and articles.

Throughout his career, he has held various positions in sales, marketing, and logistics within the technology and communications sector.
