The challenge

In order to guarantee the continuity of its business in Portugal in the event of a disaster that could affect its facilities, Oney turned to a leading consultancy firm to help it find the best Business Continuity service.

Oney wanted an alternative space to its office that guaranteed the best technical and safety conditions, and that was located in an area with low exposure to natural hazards.


The solution implemented

Business Continuity Room, available at the Altice Portugal Data Center in Covilhã.
The space made available to Oney, in the Covilhã Data Center, includes a shared office room for 39 dedicated workstations, with access to a meeting room.

It is a fully equipped space with furniture, telephones, PCs, internet connectivity and dedicated access to the company's private network.

The solution makes it possible to periodically update the customer image, which is stored on an SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) server and propagated to all the workstations dedicated to Oney.

The Global Connect Custom solution was also made available, allowing the teams operating in the Business Continuity Room to streamline and simplify their communication processes, based on a virtual telephone switch.


The results achieved

Oney thus guarantees the end-to-end replication of your office environment and network infrastructure, allowing you to minimise the negative impact of an unforeviewn situation in which the use of your main facilities is no longer viable due to a disaster or other inconvenience.

In the event of any incident, employees can immediately move into the room provided at the Altice Portugal Data Center in Covilhã and continue to operate their business, without constraints or loss of productivity, just as if they were in their office, with all their PCs and equipment installed and configured in the bank's image and connected to its private network.
