APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) play an essential role in digital transformation by offering fast and efficient solutions for creating services in areas such as security, robotics and health.
MEO's network APIs not only accelerate innovation, but also offer flexibility, scalability and agile integration with global infrastructures, regardless of the telecommunications operator.
Participants in the
5G API SPRINT will have exclusive access to the standard CAMARA network APIs, which expose the advanced functionalities of the MEO mobile network.
These APIs can be integrated into various applications and services in areas such as the Internet of Things (IoT), digital health and financial services.
In addition, MEO has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the GSMA Open Gateway, an initiative aimed at creating a global ecosystem of secure and interoperable APIs.
Among the APIs made available in the program are:
- - Device Identifier: Secure authentication of mobile devices.
- - SIM Swap: Verification of activation data and SIM swap.
- - Location Retrieval: Geographical location of the SIM card.
- - Device Location Verification: Checking the coverage area of the SIM card.
- - Quality on Demand (QoD and QoS Profiles): Adjustment of the quality of service according to the needs of the application or user.
The 5G API SPRINT was officially presented at the Web Summit and marks a unique opportunity for participants to contribute to the creation of innovative technological solutions.
Applications are open from November 14 to December 11, and interested parties can submit their proposals via the program's official website.
The competition is limited to the first 30 entries and is open to national and international participants.
At the end of the process, 10 finalists will be selected who will have free access to the MEO Empresas platform for a year. The 3 winners will receive a cash prize of 5,000 euros each, as well as passes to the 2025 edition of the Web Summit.
