MEO Empresas has launched a campaign challenging consumers to buy what they need for Easter in local shops. The aim is to consolidate the brand's positioning in its close relationship with small and medium-sized businesses and small entrepreneurs.
With the slogan "For a Local Easter", MEO Empresas will use its own communication channels to encourage families to buy what they need for Easter "at the store, café or neighborhood grocery store".
Personalized through geo-referencing, "according to each region, city or street", the campaign will be present in MEO stores which, until April 4, will show the "way to the folares, almonds and kid goats" that can be bought in local stores.
In addition, short films focused on promoting local products will also be shown on the MEO Empresas website. The creative is by Dentsu.
This initiative follows on from a similar campaign that took place at Christmas.
Now, and bearing in mind that Portugal "is a country very rich in the diversity of traditions with which the various regions celebrate the Easter season", MEO Empresas is challenging people to buy from local businesses which are, "par excellence, those which, through the products they offer, keep the memories of each of them alive", the press release states.
"At this time when families traditionally get together and many head off to different regions of the country, MEO Empresas ' aim is to provide them with even more genuine moments and, in doing so, contribute to boosting and giving life to local economies, streets and businesses, preventing their erosion from also erasing some of the Portuguese people's happiest memories," it adds.
