"Digital Care 360+" is a digitalisation project that aims to analyse the positive impact of technology on the social sector, namely on the work of professionals and on the lives of users and their families. It also aims to provide the social sector with greater efficiency and profitability, in order to guarantee the best services and care for its users.
To this end, it relies on the various technological solutions developed by MEO Empresas, which is responsible for providing the SmartAL - solution focused on monitoring the health of the elderly and chronically ill at a distance; by Sioslife, responsible for developing and managing the support platform for customers and process management; by Samsung, as the supplier of the devices and equipment; and by the Santander Portugal Foundation's desire to have a positive impact on the community.
Thus, a pilot project was implemented in two IPSS, with Residential Structure for the Elderly (ERPI), Day Center and Home Support Services - the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Sesimbra and the Centro Social e Paroquial de Raimonda.
The preliminary results show the importance and impact of digitalisation within these institutions, demonstrating the positive change in the lives of the elderly, who now have more support in monitoring their quality of life and any health problems, as well as a significant improvement in the workload of the caregivers.

As such, the social and health sectors also need to develop solutions with a view to reconciling the provision of health care and social support, with features that enable closer monitoring," they explain in a statement."
