The 5G Challenge is an innovation competition that seeks to validate, recognize and reward innovative solutions that drive digital transformation and the future of companies. In this edition, ten national and international companies presented their innovative solutions that are already bringing 5G to life and transforming the future of people and companies.

Amelia Survey

SaaS tool for uploading, processing and analyzing images in areas such as surveying or construction. It allows you to calculate stocks of raw materials or objects from images, generate reports and adjust boundaries in 3D models, optimizing decision-making and workflow.

Access to the Private Custom Network, a 5G solution that allows you to create and manage a virtual private mobile network based on the MEO network, designed and implemented to guarantee maximum resilience and security.

2 5G cards will be made available. One with access to the virtual private mobile network and the other without this configuration, so that they can test the differences.
The 5G private network card will communicate with differentiated and exclusive quality of service and traffic priority criteria, guaranteeing optimized performance and maximum capacity.

Provision of a self-care portal, where it is possible to manage all the cards autonomously and securely.

João Paulo Firmeza is Managing Director of Altice Labs and has a career marked by leadership positions and the development of advanced solutions for telecommunications.
With over 25 years' experience in the telecommunications and IT industries, he also serves as Chairman of Energy Labs and Open Labs SA, Altice Labs' subsidiary in Brazil, as well as being a non-executive director of Ericsson Inovação Brasil and IEP (Instituto Eletrotécnico Português).
With a Master's degree in Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications from the University of Aveiro and training in Advanced Executive Management from IESE Business School, he now leads Altice Labs, with a focus on creating a competitive position in the global telecommunications sector.

With a professional career based on almost two decades of experience in the telecommunications sector, Nuno Nunes held management positions at NOS and was Corporate Commercial Director at Oni Telecom.

José Antão is the Head of the Public Innovation Policy Management Unit of the National Innovation Agency - ANI. In addition to coordinating support for academic entrepreneurship and deep tech start-ups, he is co-director of the PROCURE+i Public Innovation Procurement Competence Center and deputy coordinator of the Executive Committee of the National Strategy for Intelligent Innovation. He has a PhD in Molecular Biology.

Director of Engineering, Systems, and Technology at RTP and member of the Technical Committee of the EBU (European Broadcasting Union), with over 25 years of experience in engineering in the media sector. She holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering, a postgraduate degree in Strategic Management and e-Business, and a Master's degree in Innovation Management and IT Systems Management.

I have a degree in Communication Sciences and a postgraduate degree in "Peace and War Studies in New International Relations." I was an Erasmus freemover student for one academic year at the Complutense University of Madrid, where I studied image (television and photography).
I began my career in radio in 2000, followed by more than 15 years in television, where I produced daily news reports and presented news and debate programs. I have been with Rádio Observador since its foundation and have produced several programs, notably "Conversas do Fim do Mundo" (Conversations from the End of the World), a weekly program where I interview Portuguese travelers and adventurers.
