Qatar's disregard for human rights is evident.

We need to force changes in labour rights, raise money for the fight against slavery around the world and ensure that these crimes stop happening.

Human rights are the pillars of humanity
The widespread abuses during the preparations for football in Qatar constituted a clear violation of Article 4.
Amnesty International and MEO invited everyone to support the Forgotten Team, whose human rights were not respected.

This is why MEO and Amnesty are joining forces for this cause, which cannot go unnoticed. The way in which human rights have been ignored in Qatar, specifically Article 4 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which defends the right to decent work without slavery.
The Qatar FIFA 2022 World Cup has been responsible for forced labor and thousands of deaths of its workers. To draw attention to this violation of human rights, we want to create an unprecedented action. In this World Cup of football, we are not forgetting the workers in Qatar and their families, whose rights have not been respected.
This is an appeal to mobilize the entire Portuguese population to donate as a means of helping the families of thousands of workers in Qatar who have seen their lives and basic rights denied.
